I currently serve as a Library Media Specialist with Bowling Green City Schools where I work with both teachers and elementary students in three different schools while supervising a team of 50 parent and community volunteers. A former classroom teacher, I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early and Middle Childhood and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from The Ohio State University and a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Toledo. Matching resources to student and instructional needs, researching and keeping current with children’s literature are among my favorite pursuits.
Our family became involved with the TBI Center when searching for resources to support our daughter who suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury because of a head on car collision. Finding integrated resources to care for our daughter was challenging while also trying to navigate the complex insurance and medical fields. The TBI Center provided a warm and welcoming place for all of us. It has provided not only information and support, but also a physical location where we can interact with other survivors and caregivers.
