Fall Festival features the MEGA Brain

On a crystal clear early Autumn day, the Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Center hosted its first Fall Family Festival in the parking lot directly outside the Center.

Hundreds of visitors were able to select a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, play games under the tent, or taste fresh, warm donuts from the Holey Toledough truck.  First responders gave tours of the Mercy Health mobile stroke unit.  The Amazing Eli thrilled children and their parents with his unique ballon creations.  The highlight of the day was the MEGA Brain, a larger-than-life, walk-through inflatable that provided information on brain health. Meanwhile inside, participants made their own fairy gardens and shopped for fleece blankets and mermaid tails made by brain injury survivors and volunteers.  Nurses from Mercy Health provided free screenings. For our first attempt, the Festival was a great success that would not have been possible without all of those that volunteered and our presenting sponsors: Mercy Health and Rupp Seed.
