The Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Center and Mercy Health, the presenting sponsor, are excited to welcome ABC News journalist and traumatic brain injury survivor, Bob Woodruff, to the Center on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM. This year’s event features an intimate dinner that will be held at our newly renovated facility.  Sponsorship and registration details are provided below.

On January 29, 2006 while reporting on Iraqi and American security forces, Woodruff was seriously injured by a roadside bomb.  Just 13 months later he     returned to ABC to tell the story of his painstaking recovery and the plight of service members returning from Iraq and  Afghanistan with similar injuries.   He continues to cover critical global issues as ABC’s primary Asian correspondent. For his work covering traumatic brain injury survivors, Woodruff received a Peabody Award. He has received multiple Emmy Awards, the most recent for coverage about the brutal treatment of the Rohingya ethnic group by the government of Myanmar.  In 2007 with his wife, Lee, he co-authored the New York Times Best  Seller,  In An Instant,  a chronicle of the perseverance of his family through a time of intense trauma and uncertainty.  The couple also founded the Bob Woodruff Foundation to raise money to assist injured service members, veterans and there families.  It will be an evening to remember!
