During the month of November, we were honored to welcome incredible student volunteers from Leadership Toledo’s YIPPEE program, Rossford High School National Honor Society, and Springfield High School National Honor Society to the Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Center.
These students dedicated their time and energy to making a real difference in our community. Their service projects included:
- Cutting and tying fleece blankets that were either donated back to the community or contributed to our Fleece Frenzy Fundraiser in supporting of programming at the Center.
- Creating scarves and assembling kits that will be distributed through Help Feed Toledo Area, a mobile food pantry serving local families in need.
In addition to their hands-on work, the students had the opportunity to learn about the history of our organization and the programs we offer to support brain injury survivors. They even had a chance to simulate the effects of a concussion while working on their tasks by using our “concussion” goggles. Their enthusiasm and commitment to service truly embody the spirit of leadership and compassion.
We are deeply grateful for their contributions and proud to partner with such inspiring young leaders. Thank you for helping us make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve!
