We had a great time taking part in the Wood County 4‑H Hands to Larger Service Day on Sunday, April 19 at the Wood County Fairgrounds! We loved spending the day with so many enthusiastic 4‑H members and volunteers who came ready to roll up their sleeves and give back.
One of the highlights for us was working alongside volunteers to tie fleece blankets. These blankets will be included in our Serenity Sacks program, which provides comfort items to individuals recovering from brain injuries. It was amazing to see how quickly the blankets came together—and how much care everyone put into making something that will truly make a difference for someone else.
Throughout the day, we also had the chance to share a little about TBIRC and the resources we offer, while learning more about the incredible work 4‑H members are doing across the county.
We’re so grateful to Wood County 4‑H for including us in such a positive, community-focused event. It’s always inspiring to see people of all ages come together to help others.
